ATTENTION;  FAMILIES IN NATURE

Typical winter weather today, Jan 3.  I have just walked out in my woods, beautiful out there.  Dress in layers. Warm neck scarfs, double, or warm, mittens.  We will snowshoe, or  walk in the snowshoe path, check our debris shelter and learn if it has been used by any wild life. I have several pairs of extra snowshoes, first come, first served.  Watch for animal tracks, used dens, birds. We will spend the last hour in a heated building called the "Learning Centre"  working on  take-home sky charts   to identify the circumpolar constellatons.  The Big Dipper, the North Star, etc. Hot basswood flower tea will be served. Drive carefully, but the roads should be clear by afternoon.  See you later,  Happy New Year,  Martha
